Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix In A Jar 

         (Makes 2 dozen cookies)

 

1 3/4 c. all purpose flour  

3/4 tsp. baking soda

3/4 tsp. salt                         

3/4 c. brown sugar

1 ½ c. semi-sweet choc. morsels

1/2 c. granulated sugar

 

Combine flour, b. soda, & salt into small bowl. Place flour mixture into quart jar. Layer remaining ingredients, in order listed above , pressing firmly after each layer. Seal with lid.

 

Instructions: Preheat oven to 375o. Beat 3/4 c. (1 ½ sticks) softened butter or margarine, 1 large egg & 3/4 tsp. Vanilla in large bowl, blend till mixed well. Add cookie mix & 1/2 c. chopped nuts. Mix well, drop by rounded Tbsp. onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9 to 11 min. or until brown.  Cool on baking sheets for 2 min. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Hot Cocoa Mix In A Jar

   (Makes 12 servings)

 

6 c. Nestle Instant Nonfat Dry Milk

1 ½ c. granulated sugar

1 cup plus 2 Tbsp. cocoa

1 ½ c. small marshmallows

 

Combine dry milk, sugar, cocoa & marshmallows in large bowl. Mix well and pour into 2 quart jar or tall container. Seal and attach the recipe  to give as gift.

      

Measure 1/2 c. of mix into mug.  Stir in 1 cup of hot water or milk.
